Healthy Hair Regimen

Developing healthy hair and scalp starts from within

When you are experiencing hair breakage, an itchy scalp, excessive hair loss, or a number of any other undesirable conditions, stop for a moment and look at your lifestyle before choosing products. If you are not fueling your body with the proper nutrients, products will only cosmetically fix the problem for the short term. For total hair and scalp health, use PARNEVU product regularly and follow these tips:

  • Drink plenty of water daily
  • Get plenty of rest
  • Eat well-balanced meals (reduce your intake of fried foods and sugar)
  • Develop a regular workout routine
  • Gently massage your scalp daily (to increase circulation, stimulate hair growth)
  • If you style you hair using heat, limit the frequency
  • Cut off split and damaged ends regularly
  • Sleep on a satin pillowcase or use a satin head scarf or cap (normal pillow cases absorb oil from your hair)

Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp

Too many people face a constant battle against the hair and scalp condition known as dandruff. Daily hair washing simply doesn't rid them of a dry, itchy, or flaky scalp. According to the medical community, some causes given for dandruff include poor blood circulation, inadequate nerve stimulation, infection, dermatitis, and unbalanced diet, and poor grooming habits. Laboratory tests however, have found tea tree oil to be effective at reducing the concentration of Pitryosporum ovales, the fungal cause of dandruff. The unique formulation in PARNEVU T-Tree products has been shown to be extremely effective in combatting or even eliminating a dry, flaky scalp commonly associated with dandruff.

Choosing relaxed hair does not mean choosing damaged hair

At PARNEVU, we believe that you should have a choice in how you style your hair, not allowing trends to dictate your personal expression. Hair worn naturally is beautiful, but so is hair worn relaxed or chemically treated. Relaxed hair can be just as healthy as natural hair if the relaxer is applied and hair is maintained properly. Here are a few tips to keep in mind:

  • Do not scratch scalp (with fingernails, comb, or brush) 2-3 days prior to relaxing.
  • Do not apply relaxer to hair that is brittle, splitting or breaking (showing any type of damage).
  • Make sure to read instructions and mix the activator + cream thoroughly to avoid a burning sensation.
  • If your scalp is burning, wash relaxer out immediately!
  • Do not apply relaxer directly to scalp.
  • Hair is very delicate during the relaxing process. Be gentle with hair until it is fully neutralized.
  • Do a deep conditioning treatment post relaxer. Continue deep conditioning on a regular basis. We suggest PARNEVU Extra-Dry Hair Mayonnaise.
  • Get your hair trimmed at least every 8 weeks to decrease damage caused by split ends
  • Stretch the time between relaxer applications as long as possible, preferably not more often than every 3 months
  • Keep your scalp clean and healthy. We recommend regular use of PARNEVU T-Tree Shampoo.

†The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has received complaints about scalp irritation and hair breakage related to both lye and "no lye" hair relaxers. Some people assume (falsely) that compared to lye relaxers, "no lye" relaxers take all the worry out of straightening. But both types of relaxers contain ingredients that work by breaking chemical bonds of the hair, and both can burn the scalp if used incorrectly. Lye relaxers contain sodium hydroxide as the active ingredient. With "no lye" relaxers, calcium hydroxide and guanidine carbonate are mixed to produce guanidine hydroxide. PARNEVU T-Tree Conditioning Relaxer Systems are "no lye."
